The history of Seattle is very rich and diverse. The city's many museums exhibit this. The Seattle Art Museum is in the heart of downtown and offers a variety of art from around the world. The Seattle Asian Art Museum and The Wing Luke Asian Art Museum reflect the importance of Asian culture to the Northwest. The University of Washington is home of the Henry Art Gallery and the Burke Museum of Natural History. The Museum of Flight is located on the West side of Boeing field and displays an important industry to the city. The Pacific Science Center takes a hands on approach to exhibiting topics of science. The Seattle Children's Museum and IQuest are other interactive museums focusing on history with many exhibits for children. Opening in June, The Experience Music Project Museum will allow visitors to feel the power of music in the Northwest with an interactive/hands-on approach of telling the history of American pop music.
